Education
He is a Mechanical & Electrical Engineering graduate of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (1979) and holds a postgraduate Diploma in the field of Aeronautics-Aerospace (AR) from the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, Rhode-Saint-Genese, Belgium (VKI-1981).
Description
He is currently the Project Manager of the Independent Engineer for the Pumped-Storage Hydroelectric Project in Amfilochia, Greece. In his longer than fourty years Professional Career he dealt chiefly with Energy Projects, mainly Hydro and Off-shore Wind, in the areas of Engineering, Project & Business Development, and Construction Management from various posts and positions of responsibility. By way of indication his career path contains the following:
- Amfilochia Pumped-Storage Hydro Project – J/V OMEK-AECOM -Independent Engineer – Project Manager (2022-present)
- Baltic Eagle and Wikinger Offshore Projects of Iberdrola Renovables Deutschland GmbH – Onshore Construction Manager (2016-2022)
- Baltic Eagle Offshore Project of Iberdrola Renovables Deutschland GmbH – Engineering Interface Manager during Development (2018-2020)
- Small Hydro-Electric Projects Business and Project Development Director of ROKAS Renewables (a subsidiary of IBERDROLA Renovables), (2005-2014). This term of service contained Development of small-scale hydro-projects from green-field up to the installation licencing (twelve SHPs on seven different rivers totalling 87,4 MW)
- Head of Electro-Mechanical Division of Joint Venture “BUNG GmbH BERATENDE INGENIEURE & Cie” – Consultants of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture-General Secretariat of Sports- for the Coordination and Management of the Olympic Projects (2002-2005)
- General Manager of Company RODAX S.A. (a subsidiary of METKA S.A. Group of Companies – Mytilineos Group), (2000-2002)-Thermal Power Plants
